Shared Student Achievement
School Plan for Shared Student Achievement
What is it?
The Parent and Family Engagement Plan describes how Heritage Academy will provide opportunities to improve parent engagement to support student learning. Heritage Academy values the contributions and engagement of parents to establish an equal partnership for the common goals of improving student achievement. This plan describes the different ways that Heritage Academy will support parent engagement and how parents can be involved.
How is it revised?
Heritage Academy invited all parents to attend our annual meeting to review and revise this Parent and Family Engagement Plan. Parents are invited to attend the School Plan, School-Parent Compact and School Budget meetings that are held in the spring. In addition, parents’ input and comments regarding this plan are welcomed during the school year. The plan is posted on our school website for parents to view and submit feedback throughout the year. Parents' feedback throughout the year will be used to revise the plan for the next school year. During the school year, parents can also give feedback during parent meetings and activities in our Parent Advisory Committee, Go Team and school meetings.
Who is it for?
All parents at Heritage Academy are encouraged and invited to fully participate in opportunities described in this plan. Heritage Academy School will provide full opportunity for the participation of parents with limited English, parents with disabilities, and parents of migratory children.
Where is it available?
At the beginning of the year, the Parent & Family Engagement Plan is included in the student handbook that is given to all students. As a reminder, a copy will be mailed to each home. Parents can also receive a copy of the Parent & Family Engagement Plan in the Parent Resource Center located in Room 120.
